Ankylosing spondytilis

Ankylosing spondytilis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory process of unknown aetiology. It has a progressive character, often with long periods of remission. The disease usually develops between 15 and 30 years of age and occur more often in men than in women. The first symptoms usually appear in the form of pain in the vicinity of cross, with radiation to the flank and lower extremities. Stiffening of the spine appears during erected posture with flattening of its physiological curvature. But much more often the stiffening of backbone is in a large section of chest hyperkifozis , resulting in a characteristic bent figure of the patient and  a large reduction in field of view, in the standing posture.
