Disc protrusions

Disc protrusion also known as intervertebral discs protrusion is the common spinal disease these days. The intervertebral  discs commonly named discs play the vital role in the biomechanics of spine. They link all its segments. The nucleus of the disc acts as a shock absorber, absorbing the impact of the body's daily activities and carrying considerable tensions.
The disc consist of three main parts:

  • Annulus fibrosus
  • Fibro cartilage
  • Nucleus pulposus

Our way of life that causes the disc to degenerate. This leads to disc protrusions being reflected by fibro cartilage rupture and putting forward nucleus pulposus outside the outlines of disc. In extreme cases, nucleus pulposus bulge out and puts pressure on tissues surrounding the spine. This causes enormous pain and the exclusion of patient from normal life for many weeks.
