Gonarthrosis


Gonarthrosis (Osteoarthritis of the knee) the knee is the most common place of occurrence of degenerative changes. The disease mainly involved persons over 50 years of age, it often occurs on both sides. The predominance of female patients, and overweight is a significant risk factor. The most common cause of secondary degenerative changes are knee injuries, including damage to structures within the joints. The dominant symptom is pain located in the front or middle meniscus of the knee, and in the upper part of medial ankle. The pain is particularly felt when walking up the stairs.
