Phototherapy

SOLLUX LAMP – is used to carry out heating treatment with the use of thermal energy emitted by the lamp. The lamp uses filters that alter the spectrum of radiation that affects the ability to penetrate deep into the skin or subcutaneous tissue. Lamp with a blue filter reduces the penetration of infrared rays and thermal properties, enhances the analgesic action, and mitigation of radiation. Red filter reduces the biological effect of infrared radiation to the action of red and visible rays.

Action:

  • Vasodilatation of skin capillaries (blood flow through arterial tissue),
  • Reduction of nervous tension, enhancing the processes of metabolism,
  • Analgesic action,
  • Stimulation of thermal receptors,

To obtain the desired characteristics of radiation, the appropriate type of filter have to be used:

  • Red filter - treatment of soft tissue inflammation, bad wounds, furuncles, herpes zoster, exudations after overdose of UV rays
  • Blue filter - analgesic, neuralgia and muscle pains, exudations, frostbites, states after injuries

Contraindications:

  • Cancer,
  • Cardiac failure,
  • Atherosclerosis,
  • Overactive thyroid,
  • Tumids,
  • Tendency to bleeding,
  • Acute inflammation,
  • Fevers,
  • Active pulmonary tuberculosis
